As a sixth-generation Washingtonian, I want to share the unique quirks, foibles, generic rituals, obsessions, and ironic aspects of my hometown – our Nation's Capital – which I love and know intimately. The book has neither pretensions to, nor aspirations of, literature or fine art; creative and artistic licenses abound. It wants to be a small (40 paintings/40 text pages) gift/souvenir book, appropriately inexpensive.
